Lana was born in the beautiful countryside of Western Ukraine and grew up on a farm. As a consequence she has a great love of animals, the outdoors and the extraordinary beauty of nature. She works in oil, a medium which gives great depth of colour and allows for the generation of heavy impasto paintings. Her distinctive style continues to develop with each painting and she is also influenced by works of great masters whose styles she admires, such as Paul Cezanne and Claude Monet. Her highly contemporary interpretations incorporate distinctive bold brushstrokes and bright colours creating vivid works with a surprising element of subtlety. Now residing in Surrey, Lana enjoys producing works of art that capture the beauty of everyday objects. Her bright and uplifting paintings are held in private collections and galleries across the UK.
