We are delighted to present in tandem the wonderful work of Catherine and Beatrice Forshall, a talented mother and daughter duo, whose work explores the themes of the natural world. Beatrice creates drypoint etchings using the traditional methods of making the metal plates herself, then creating the prints and hand painting each one so every piece is assuredly individual and beautifully finished.
Catherine paints remarkable scenes in acrylic on canvas and mixed media that focus on the fascinating world under the seas surface, as well as in the hinterland between high and low tides. Her brushstrokes capture the beauty and wonder of the creatures that live in and out of the water and render them on canvas, full of life and vitality.
