Sian McGill was born on St David's Day in Pontyppool, South Wales,. After gaining a degree in English at Swansea university she returned to a childhood love of art, pursuing this alongside bringing up her young family. Painting eventually become a full time occupation and she now regularly exhibits at galleries in Wales and Cornwall, and has had work selected for the Royal Cambrian society. Much of her inspiration comes directly from the landscapes and coastlines she loves, working mostly with palette knife but also brushes, fingers, and anything else that comes to hand!
